2015: People's Perspectives and Experiences on Land Investment

Summary

This study is commissioning by DFID as the qualitative element of the Land Investment for Transformation (LIFT) programme evaluation. In the first year of implementation, it will serve as a scoping study to help focus and shape the LIFT baseline survey questionnaire. Following the baseline survey, it will also serve as a frame for interpretation for the quantitative survey results.

Utilising the RCA’s approach to informal and conversation based data gathering will allow researchers to gain insight into many of LIFT’s key themes and goals. These include, family decision making, social dynamics, power relations, the real meaning of land, and future aspirations.
